What is Happenin Records? Why is this website called “Records” when it’s obviously not just about music? Who the F is Dustin Timbrook? What’s going on here?

Let me explain. My name is Dustin Timbrook and I am an artist living and working in Huntsville, Alabama. When people ask me what I do I tell them I am a painter, but that’s only partially true. I spend plenty of time painting, but I spend just as much time:

drawing sculpting writing making pop-ups making puppets shooting funny videos animating performing recording and producing music organizing unusual social experiments aspiring to make my own television show writing and illustrating a children’s book working on a top-secret project, that upon its debut will rattle the world of art and multimedia to its core

I originally created this website to sell music by my band, Three Happenin Guys, and a few other artists from the southeast. It didn’t take long for me to realize that a website just about music is a lot less interesting than a website about all of the above, so I decided to make HappeninRecords.com my own personal place on the web to share everything that I am up to.

So consider this website to be DustinTimbrook.com. It’s a way for you to keep up with any and every project I am involved in, musical or otherwise. There is plenty of reading and entertainment material to keep you busy on my blog. You can listen to music that I’ve recorded or produced in the music section, watch hilarious videos in the video section, and buy stuff that I’ve created from my shop.
