Three Happenin Guys Propaganda Gallore

Happy Birthday to Us!

Well fans, today is the day you’ve been waiting for for the last 365: The 26th anniversary of your favorite lead singer’s birth. This is an important milestone in my life, Three Happenin Guys’ lives, and yes, even YOUR life.

Why?

Because you are going to give me the greatest birthday gift of all, and in exchange you guys will get the greatest party-favor goodie bag ever. But first, some background info:

Three Happenin Guys was started in 1932 by my grandfather, Rayford Josiah Timbrook II, when he decided that the south was sorely lacking in avant garde experimental pop music. Over the years he built the band (originally called The Amicable Fellows Trio) into what would be proclaimed by music fans and listeners of phonograph cylinders everywhere to be the greatest band of all time. Rayford passed the band down to my father, who then passed it down to me. It’s a fine family business and a tradition I’m proud to carry on to the next generation of Timbrooks.

In order for any business to survive it must adapt to the conventions of it’s time. That’s why I’ve been working hard to usher Three Happenin Guys into the digital age with my website, www.HappeninRecords.com. Over the past several months many people have come to rely on HappeninRecords.com for all of their music, video, art, and entertainment needs. Unfortunately however, there still exists a large chunk of the earth’s population who have never even seen my website!

Which brings me to my birthday wish. All I want this January 24th is for you to check out my website. And I mean REALLY check it out. Read some of my journal entries. Watch my videos. Listen to entire Three Happenin Guys albums for free! Then, if you’ve enjoyed your visit please subscribe to my blog, add the site to your bookmarks, or share some links on your FaceBook account.

See, here’s the thing; All that stuff I said earlier about my granddad and the family business really isn’t true, and no offense, but if you actually believed me you might officially be stupid. The truth is that this band wasn’t handed to me on a silver platter, but instead was something that my friends and I had to start from scratch with a lot of hard work. After putting so much blood, sweat, and anti-tears (Three Happenin Guys do not cry) into something, it’s nice to find out that your work is appreciated. What better way to show your love for THG than to give our fledgling website some much-needed traffic?

So celebrate my birthday in style at HappeninRecords.com. That party-favor goodie bag I promised you is all the great stuff you will discover on the site, so take your time to click around and discover everything Happenin Records has to offer.

What else are you going to do on a Sunday?

Dustin Timbrook & Three Happenin Guy
